Associate Membership

The Dominican Associates of Akron were formed in 1987 and include local groups in Akron, Alliance, Cleveland and Fairbanks, Alaska. Sixty-eight women and men including six married couples and two clergy participate in the life of the congregation through involvement in prayer, study, and ministry. They do not take vows, but they do make a commitment to live out and continue the mission of the Dominican Order--to praise, to bless, to preach. The coordinator of the Associates for the Dominican Sisters of Akron and Columbus is Anita Davidson.
